Z Social Debate

Post by Celtiberian on Fri Nov 11, 2011 2:50 am

I was recently researching Z Social, a new left-wing social networking site Z Communications is starting, and came across this YouTube video. Suffice it to say, I was absolutely amazed by how rude this nitpicking, ignorant cyber dork (Hamish Campbell) was in his interview with Michael Albert. On multiple occasions, Albert almost lost his composure, but anyone would have given the situation.

What an irritating loser that interviewer was. "I get all of my news from Twitter, actually." Is that so? How surprising. Rolling Eyes

Michael Albert was completely on the mark.

Laughing It's the "flow" of the Tweets that matter, Rev Scare, not the individual messages..

I honestly can't stand self-important hackers like Campbell, they always behave as if they're on the cutting edge of all that's important in society. Worse, he even had the audacity to claim that the well-reasoned and legitimate critiques Michael Albert leveled against Twitter, Facebook, and the open source community were a result of Albert's crude grasp of contemporary software. In reality, anyone who has ever had the misfortune of conversing with someone who's a part of the open source community knows just how apolitical and pathetic most of those people really are—they're far more interested in hacking into Scarlett Johansson's cellphone to extract nude photos than they are in aiding in undermining bourgeois social relations.

It does not matter how "intelligent" or how proficient your technical knowledge is: if you are a loser, you are a loser. There is no getting around it. The "hacker" community is pathetic.
